HPN Global is a third-party meeting planning and site selection company. We help organizations source venues, negotiate hotel contracts, and manage the full group event process at no cost to the client, because hotels pay the commission. As an independent HPN associate, also called a Global Account Manager, you run your own book of meeting planner clients and use HPN's sourcing platform, hotel partnerships, and back office to get their deals done. Planners and hotels stick with associates who do what they say they're going to do, and who treat the relationship like it matters.
Family First: my son is my why.
Day to day
What you'll do
- Build your client base. Find organizations that hold meetings and events, and the planners who run them. Some associates bring existing relationships. Others start fresh.
- Source smart. Send RFPs through HPN's proprietary sourcing platform to the hotels and destinations that fit your client's dates, rates, and space.
- Narrow it down. Present the finalists that fit, so hotels only spend time writing full proposals for business they can win.
- Negotiate the contract. Concessions, attrition, breakouts, upgrades, rate. You know where hotels can bend, and your relationships help.
- Be the consultant to both sides. Close the gaps between what your client needs and what the hotel can do, and get the deal done.
- Go where the client needs you. Site visits and in-person meetings happen when they make sense for the business. You decide.
- Earn the repeat. Stay close after the event so next year's meeting comes back to you.
“Our job as the consultant, if you will, to both parties is how do we solve those little gaps in the understanding and then get a deal done?”
Bill Kilburg, CEO, HPN Global

Clients and partners
Who you'll work with
- Clients: organizations that hold meetings, conferences, and incentives, plus the planners who run them. The service is free to them.
- Partners: hotels, destinations and CVBs, and DMCs. Each hotel has a single point of contact (SPC) for HPN. Many of our associates were that SPC before they joined.
“being an SPC helped because I already knew majority of the people who worked for HPN.”

Pay
How you're paid
It's 100% commission. Hotels pay HPN a commission on the group business you book, and you structure your split with HPN based on your experience and the size of your business. There's no base pay. How quickly income shows up tracks your hotel sales experience — longer in the business, shorter ramp; newer, slower. There is no cost to join HPN.
